Chicago Bears season preview

Image
With pre-season NFL football games starting the feeling of football is back! This season is very important for the Chicago Bears after newly acquiring Ohio St QB Justin Fields . The Bears have had a long history of quarterback troubles, just within this offseason the Bears got rid of Mitch Trubisky, signed Andy Dalton, and drafted Fields while still having Nick Foles on the roster. The biggest slap in the face was the talk of Aaron Rodgers leaving or retiring. I thought for sure that his time on the Packers and winning the NFC North were done and the Bears time was here. After learning that Rodgers was coming back for another season it was bittersweet. I think that it gives Justin Fields the chance to ease into becoming the hero and savior for Chicago and Andy Dalton is only on a 1 year 10 million dollar deal so he will be gone next year along with Rodgers. It opens up the chance for the Bears to step in and take over the NFC North.      Looking into the season and playoffs, I do

Westbrook to the LA Lakers!

Image
The Washington Wizards agreed to trade superstar Russell Westbrook to the LA Lakers yesterday. The Wizards received a great package of Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell and a draft pick. This is a huge and impactful trade for the entire NBA. The Lakers now have their own big 3 of LeBron, AD, and Westbrook. They will be a PROBLEM for any team next year, it is hard to think that the Lakers aren't the favorites for the 2022 NBA Championship. I also think Westbrook deserves a championship, he's been traded and moved around to different teams for that last few seasons playing with OKC, Houston, Washington and now LA. The Wizards came out of this trade smiling and happy, they now have a great young core to build around and support Bradley Beal who is a superstar and who recently came out and said he wanted to be on the Wizards for the foreseeable future.  As a basketball fan I am truly just excited to see LA's new big 3 on the court. The combination of Wes

Hootsuite Experience

Image
Hootsuite was an eye opening experience of how easy and creative it can be to organize multiple social media platforms as a collective. I had never heard of Hootsuite before this class, it is almost a must for any organization that has or wants a social media presence for their business. The simplicity of their program can be learned by anyone and can help expand posts to such a larger market, all while being monitored together on the platform. It also allows for team members to be assigned different workloads so work can be distributed when not everyone is in the same location, there is also the ability to message other team members in groups or directly. Being able to schedule posts ahead of time is also a very impactful and awesome feature. Knowing the platform of Hootsuite can open up job opportunities and a better understanding of managing multiple social media platforms.

NBA off-season / free agent preview

Image
With the Milwaukee Bucks crowned 2021 NBA Champions the league will now move on to summer free agency and the NBA draft . As always, there are huge implications for this summer as far as free agency. Some of the top free agents this summer / year are Atlanta's John Collins, Toronto's Kyle Lowry, San Antonio's Demar DeRozan, New Orlean's Lonzo Ball, Laker's Dennis Schroder, and two huge player option free agents Kawhi Leonard and Chris Paul. Starting with the Lakers, I do feel that they have the most spotlight and pressure for the next season. They lost to the Suns in the playoffs because of consistent injuries that kept LeBron and Anthony Davis sidelined throughout the regular season and playoffs. With Dennis Schroder most likely departing there have been a lot of rumors of who will take that point guard spot. There have been trade rumors that Damian Lillard, Russell Westbrook or Chris Paul could be joining the super-team of Anthony Davis and LeBron on the Lakers.

Could disc golf be in the Olympics?

Image
Disc golf is a great sport that could be adopted into in Olympic games. Disc golf is played with a disc golf frisbee that is a little smaller than a traditional frisbee. The rules are based around the same rules as golf. Each hole having par within a stroke play rule set, the “hole” in disc golf is a metal chain basket. I’ve played a lot in my life and I've especially played a lot since I moved to Colorado. It is a great way to get a fun and easy exercise in your day and anyone can play. It can be played in a very recreational way as well as a very competitive way. Another great thing is that most courses are public and free which makes it such a great global sport with easy access. It can be easily played anywhere and in any climates. There are already very competitive leagues like the PDGA , which is already an international organization having connections with countless countries and events worldwide.   It would also be very cool to see the designs of the courses made at the hom

Is Conor McGregor's trash talk fair play or crossing the line?

Image
Trash talking from Conor McGregor is no new thing to the UFC or MMA fans. After the UFC 264 press conference on July 8th, 2021, I had flashbacks of the old Conor McGregor. Conor McGregor is known for using mental warfare with his opponents before their fights. In his previous fight versus Dustin Poirier he was very nice and respectful throughout the buildup to the fight which was a different side of Conor. He lost via knockout and will be fighting Dustin again this Saturday, July 10th. The two fighters traded back and forth trash talk during the press conference but the real trash talk came later in the night on Twitter. Conor released a screenshot of an Instagram DM request from Dustin's wife to himself.  Dustin later responded with a reply to a picture Conor posted of himself saying "Your trash talk is as thin as your hair these days! See ya soon champ champ". Conor then crossed the line and responded with a tweet about Dustin's wife.  This isn't the first time

NBA Finals Preview

NBA Finals 2021 Preview      With the Phoenix Suns stamping their ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993 the question is who will they be playing? The current Eastern Conference final is tied at 2-2 of the best of 7 series. Both the Milwaukee Bucks and the Atlanta Hawks have injuries that are heavily impacting their teams. The Hawks star point guard Tre Young is out with an ankle injury from rolling his ankle on a referees foot in game 3. The Bucks superstar and 2x NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo  had a scary and hard to watch injury on his knee which caused him to leave game 4 and now is currently questionable for the next game. I believe this series will come down to who can come back faster from injury, if they can come back at all. Game 5 might be a battle between who can win with their superstar on the bench injured. I think the Bucks will emerge from the Eastern Conference and challenge the Suns in the NBA Finals. I feel that Giannis will be able to come back soon a
