Chicago Bears season preview

With pre-season NFL football games starting the feeling of football is back! This season is very important for the Chicago Bears after newly acquiring Ohio St QB Justin Fields. The Bears have had a long history of quarterback troubles, just within this offseason the Bears got rid of Mitch Trubisky, signed Andy Dalton, and drafted Fields while still having Nick Foles on the roster. The biggest slap in the face was the talk of Aaron Rodgers leaving or retiring. I thought for sure that his time on the Packers and winning the NFC North were done and the Bears time was here. After learning that Rodgers was coming back for another season it was bittersweet. I think that it gives Justin Fields the chance to ease into becoming the hero and savior for Chicago and Andy Dalton is only on a 1 year 10 million dollar deal so he will be gone next year along with Rodgers. It opens up the chance for the Bears to step in and take over the NFC North.

Looking into the season and playoffs, I do think that the Bears could make a playoff run and be a dangerous team. The defense is still great and healthy now, our WR core is elite, and our RB depth is great. It think 10-7 is a realistic record, the bears schedule is very tough this year. Aaron Rodgers returning almost solidifies that the Packers will win the division so the Bears will have to win the wildcard or really step up and win the division games.
